In its 16th year, employees of PICOR, through its Charitable Foundation (PCF), ran a highly successful development effort which is nearing $500,000 in funds raised and donated since its inception.

Each year, the PCF Pancake Breakfast galvanizes PICOR’s connection to the community, linking our internal team with key vendor partners, clients and non-profit organizations, who share a common vision of making a difference, beginning with disadvantaged youth in Tucson. Because the overhead is entirely donated or paid by PICOR corporately, PCF is able to donate 100% of the funds raised.

An eight month process led by a seven-member employee committee culminated in a breakfast staffed by 50 volunteers, where 1,500 people were served breakfast, two youth arts groups performed, and $34,000 was raised and subsequently donated to 38 youth-serving organizations, funding programs specifically improving conditions for Tucson youth. From such basics as diapers, clothing and shoes to scholarships and counseling, PCF grants made a difference.

Reinforcing the PICOR brand as one with deep community connections and a charitable spirit benefits our clients in subtle, but tangible ways. PICOR’s culture is broadly recognized in a business environment where reputations take years to build and moments to bring down. We touch tenants, future tenants, community partners, vendors, employees, future employees, and even competitors in a way that demonstrates through word and deed that for business success, community comes first.
