Harrison Properties, LLC purchased 6.2 acres of vacant land at the southeast corner of 22nd Street and Alvernon Way from Evergreen Development Company for $1,382,842. The site is part of the former 19 acre DeAnza Drive-in Movie Theater. The 6.2 acres will be developed with approximately 100,000 SF of professional office space. Greg Furrier, Principal and Rob Tomlinson, Retail Specialists with Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, represented the seller Evergreen Development Company in this transaction.
Rob Tomlinson and Greg Furrier sold other portions of the 19 acre property to Progressive Insurance and Quik Trip. There are 8 acres remaining to be sold and developed, including frontage Pads on both 22nd Street and Alvernon Way.
Evergreen bought the 19 acre property, which was Tucson’s last operating drive-in movie theater from De Anza Land and Leisure Corporation in 2009. The theater opened in 1951 under the name Cactus Theater.
